Jamie and the Falcons
“Fans joining Jamie Moses on stage was as exciting for the band as it was for the crowd who lapped up the electric atmosphere.
There is nothing quite like it!”
The 32nd annual U.K. Queen weekend convention is back at Haven Golden Sands Holiday Park in Mablethorpe.
The weekend convention has become the crowning glory in the calendar of Queen fans. The residential non-stop party, where Queen fans congregate from all corners
of the globe, is a jam packed weekend full of events. Featuring live music, guest star interviews, full Queen discos each night, quizzes, games, fancy dress parties, a Queen related Market Place to help search for wanted items to top up collections,
a Charity Auction with unique items up
for grabs, sport competitions, big screen unseen footage and most popular are the live shows and videos. Here there’s Queen from morning till night!
Since the conventions began we have
had many guests from the Queen world who tell their own unique stories. How did Freddie design the famous gauntlet? What was it like when Freddie met Montserrat Caballe? How did Roger put his first band together? Where did Brian leave the Red Special heading to a gig? Why did the band have a number of bass players? Stories unfold at the event. Excellent live bands appear. We even had Ibex reform for one of the weekends! Over the years this and much more has happened. Plans are underway to make this year’s just as
exciting. More announcements will be made soon about live bands and guests.
We have had many exclusives at the event. New albums played, exclusive videos of documentaries and live concerts from the past and present. We have also had appearances of Brian’s Red Special, Roger’s drum kit, band stage costumes, and Freddie’s stamp collection and even Freddie’s Rolls Royce! You just don’t know what could be next!
Last year the legendary Peter Straker joined producer Mike Moran on stage, which was one of the highlights of the weekend, along with Freddie’s ex Sour Milk Sea bandmate Chris Chesney told us how Freddie joined the band and tales of time spent together. Fans joining Jamie Moses on stage was as exciting for the band as
it was for the crowd who lapped up the electric atmosphere. There is nothing quite like it!
This is the place to meet up with old friends and make new ones. If you have never been before why not come along and join in the fun? Even if you’re thinking of coming on your own, before the first night is over we’re sure you will have made friends. Everybody is so friendly. This is THE party that never ends!
